Tres by Jose Andres at SLS Hotel

October 5th, 2010

Its LA dine week and of course…it’s the start of FOOD-A-THON for me.

Jose Andres has always been my idol and a favorite chef of all times. Tres and Baazar is both located in SLS Hotel right next to another. Though it was the dine LA week, my foodie yelper buddy Jefferson and I decided to go with our favorite “tapas” style. Thanx for the awesome bday dinner Jefferson! :)

Surprisingly, the restaurant was pretty empty yet the service was superve.

We were first greeted by the manager and had amazing service by 2 alternative very cute “aspiring to be the next Hollywood stars”. But very knowledgeable of the dishes and had awesome recommendations. (Always nice to have waiters who knows their “st**f”)

Delicious & visually pleasing = one of the many reasons why you should live to  eat not eat to live.

Hidden in Beverly hills, the restaurant has an appearance of a traditional Japanese home. The wood was used in an actual old folk dwelling, and the authentic roof tiles gleam with the luminance of oxidized silver. The building itself is comprised of three distinct wings which encircle the inner garden and express the traditional beauty of Japanese architecture.
